Anyone replaced your fresh water fill? I thought I read somewhere someone had done this & it is easier to fill the water tank?

I guess it depends what you mean by easier. It's still a gravity feed so a different filler won't necessarily resolve the "burping" issue raised in another recent discussion.I find that I'm often filling my tank from a jug with a pour spout, so the original little flapper door thingy--despite being a bit leaky--works pretty well for that purpose without requiring additional hoses or connectors.2015 T@B Max S (320)

After a year, we managed to crack the original cap for the Fresh Water Fill. We replaced it (per nuCamp) with the threaded JR products polarwhite version purchased via Amazon. We still use a silicone adapter spout that screws onto the end of a hose.

FWIW, I do fully expect to break that little flapper door at some point, and am surprised it hasn't happened yet. Maybe the first mod this season will be a new fill port and siphon for my jug!

The little flapper does not usually break. It can snap out of place. With a little work it can be snapped back into place. I’ve done this 2or 3 times.

Yes, we snapped it in and out of place, then cracked it. I think it happened when we were filling using a heavy water jug. Anyway, the siphon solves that heavy lifting task.Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio

I bought this part but I couldn't figure out how to get the old one out without damaging the trailer wall. Any tips?Sharon_is_SAM said:After a year, we managed to crack the original cap for the Fresh Water Fill. Marceline,
It's got a bead of caulk around it. I think i used an old credit type card to loosen it. Once you the the screws out, gentle pulling pressure will get it out.
Be prepared for it to take longer than you think. I couldn't connect the new one as the hose was too short. The old fitting has a longer collar. I bought a short hose and a hose clamp to finish the job. 15 minute job took 3 hours. 😁

Mine is a 2013, which is the first year that Pleasant Valley manufactured them (I think). The fill seems to be glued in with something much stronger than caulk - maybe even epoxy. I tried heat and couldn't get it to loosen at all.db_cooper said:Marceline,

Marcelina, did you try M.E.K. to break the bond? Also try DeBond a spray solvent that is used to break the bond of 3M 5200 an adhesive caulk used in the marine industry.‘18 Tab 320S- mfg’d 4/17, acquired 9/17
