New 2021 Aluminum tub for 400 a game changer for me

I picked up the newly designed aluminum tub for the Tab 400 (similar to the new 320 tub).  I just installed the tub and what a great design. The added storage combined with thoughtful design will make future camping trips easier. The accommodations for a sewer hose will be great for those new 400s without the built in holder. I am really pleased

    I was just eyeing this in the video and thinking I’d like to retrofit it on my older 320. Definitely looks like a big improvement!

    I too would love that tub, but on a video tour from Princess Craft, PJ was told it could not be retrofitted to the older models due to the location of the gas and battery disconnects. @DenisP it appears that wasn't an issue for you on the 400 though?

    @dsfdogs I did have to move the regulator (2 screws) but other than that it was a easy swap for the 400.

    Does the sewer hose go where that bottle is sitting?

    @Tampakayaker yes the sewer hose does fit there. I was able to put a 10ft Rhinohose and a three foot Rhino for my blue boy there.

    Nice! Curious why the aft sewer storage tube went away in the '21. Space I presume?  I had a tub built as well and to date, it's been a nice addition.

    @Tampakayaker I took a picture with supplies added. Another nice feature is my Anderson levelers fit the contour or the tub.

    AirBoss, the Alde system with th flow added was shifted aft, and the battery was placed in the center rear part of the under bed area, using the space where the sewage hose storage was located.  This has the advantage of reducing the tongue weight to counterbalance the additional weight of the new larger tub, and extra gear storage, or second propane tank weight.  I am making these mods to my 2018 TaB 400.

    I am not sure it went away in all. I have seen it gone in the Solo edition, only so far.

    Ah ha...thanks. Kind of a bummer to have to find a home for such a...well...less than hygienic part!

    Looks like it will fit in the new front tub just fine.  Just give it a quick rinse off, put the end caps on, and you are good to go.

    Always amazed that not all hoses come with the end caps.

    That's a nice tub but I think I'd cut a hole in both sides and insert a real sewer hose tube in (or above) that trough. Good rinse or not, I personally like having my poop pipe in a completely segregated home with outside access. YMMV.

    I purchased the tub from NuCamp. We were on a camping trip and stopped at Sugarcreek and had a great tour, and checked out the 2021 prototype in the lobby and picked up the tub and some parts. You can order it through a dealer and have it dropped shipped. I made a pilgrimage to NuCamp and saved the shipping.

    $659 installed. I got a price yesterday. I have a 2017 320 and they are installing it for me next week along with the aluminum platform. I'm pretty excited for the extra space.

    @Feffer that is a very good price! What state are you located? I will be excited to see pictures. Princess Craft has a video in which PJ was told the new tub couldn't fit on older T@B's, but maybe your dealer is moving the gas or battery knob.

    @NomadPilgrim The spare in my 400 is under the tongue in the original factory installed position.

    This is just what I am looking for for my 2020 400.  Can you tell me a little about the installation?  I know you moved the propane regulator but was the rest of the installation just a few bolts or was it more involved.  Thanks.

    The new tub is held in place by two bolts with nuts, and two self tapping metal lug type screws, the drill their own pilot hole.  The bolts and screws attach to the frame.  The self tapping screws were used in the part of the frame thst was boxed closed on the back, and the bolts where it was a C channel shape, and nuts could be added under the frame face.  This is how my tub was installed by the dealer.

    I just requested a price to have this tub shipped to me through a somewhat local dealer. I am also interested in upgrading my tub.
