    Rainy day here in NJ, so going over pictures from the summer. Here's our stop at Glacier Park. More amazing sights. Bold squirrel didn't mind us being there while he/she ate Amy's dog food.  Lynx crossed the trail in front of us while out for a hike.

Thanks for the great shot of my old stomping grounds (lived off of Brookhurst and Hamilton and graduated from Edison)!  Leave it to a pic to bring back the memories.  A little different from the 16 degrees and snow on the ground here in Spokane B)

    That looks like many of the Forest Service Campgrounds I visited in Utah early this Fall, same layout. Great campgrounds.

    We ended our camping season on a high note for us - camping at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground including ending a great week with a Christmas celebration at Magic Kingdom. Sadly, Serenity is now in hibernation - winterized and stored. T@B withdrawal has already set in... Happy Holidays!

    First western trip with "Rocinante" in April 2022.  We returned to Lost Dutchman SP outside of Apache Junction, AZ.  Previous trips, we pitched our back packing tent.  Excellent hiking in the area and coyotes singing during the night.

    5th trip this year. Sherando Lake Recreation Area, part of the Washington and Jefferson National Forests (Virginia).

    Drones are allowed in National Forests, unlike National Parks and VA State Parks.

    'Lower' Sherando Lake. Swimming and kayaks/canoes allowed.


    'Upper' Sherando Lake. Stocked with trout in the fall/spring; apparently somewhat self sustaining large/smallmouth bass, catfish, and bluegill populations. Lower lake has the same fish, but last time I was here fishing was prohibited in the lower lake. Haven't checked to see if that's still the case.


    Is that a 400 down there?

    Yup. I love it! Never takes more than 10-ish minutes to set up with tent poles as an awning, and less than 5 to set up when deployed as a lean-to.

    Actually just bought another one that has extra material on two sides to provide additional shade/rain/wind blockage. Planning to start setting them up on both sides of my T@b during the summer to provide a bit of extra shade to keep interior temps a bit lower.
