@kluc We did that same trip from San Diego in late May before Memorial Day and loved everything about it from the fabulous Old Faithful and Mt Rushmore to just driving across the most beautiful part of Wyoming. Then through Denver and Rockies back through AZ.

Just one night at the Bowl and Pitcher, our local park. Actually my very first time out solo! I'm loving it! AND I backed in fairly straight the first time! Where's the audience when you don't screw up?

We have tent camped at this lake for 48 years. This was our first trip with our T@Bin. It was a little shady for our solar but we managed by not using the 2way frig.Jaynie and Larry - Palo Alto, CA - 2015 T@B CS-S - Expedition EL - Nights spent in "T@b Spirit of Holly" 97

That looks like a nice shady spot to set up camp.jschemel said:We have tent camped at this lake for 48 years. This was our first trip with our T@Bin. It was a little shady for our solar but we managed by not using the 2way frig.
We only use our 2 way fridge when we have electrical hook up, as we are usually camped in at least partial shade as well. It's nice to have the fridge running, but most of our trips are only 2-3 nights, so a cooler works fine if we don't have the electric hook up.

@jschemel, yes, that was us. However, we never had kids, so no grandkids. The boys are our great-nephews, and have been in our exclusive care for more than 10 years now. We no longer make the distinction of what level of dna we share, they are our boys. You were the first t@b we shared a campground with, and ultimately, one of two we met in our epic journey: 6 weeks, 25 states and 10,000 miles. Nice to know we met kindred spirits out there. Here's a pic of one of the boys from the days we were there.

It was a pullthrough site, electric, and water, but the electric was on the wrong side, so I turned the trailer around, and the water spigot was way far away, so didn't feel like stretching a hose that far, so just filled up my tank. What' funny, is I set up so late, I didn't know I had a lake view till the next morning!!Carol

Quick free overnight spot near the ID/MT I-90 border. Bicycled the Hiawatha rails to trails on our way to GlacierNP. Didn't even have to unhook or level and there was a FS toilet available. Have to say it was better than Walmart.

We started at the bottom (around 2:30 in the afternoon) which put us going uphill against the crowd. This turned out to be perfect, as when we came down we had the trail all to ourselves. About 3 hours round trip, taking it pretty leisurely. Camp was near the bottom of the trail. That was a narrow, washboarded, super dusty road, with a one lane tunnel thrown in for good measure, T@b handled it great though.

Just returned from a 3 day trip to the Blanco River. Although very soggy for the first two days, the trip was great. Learned a few things. Confirmed a few things.
First....ROOKIE MISTAKE....I forgot to raise the jack all the way up and bent it on the way out of the driveway. Will need to replace it. Not a big deal at the campsite. I just stayed hitched.
This was a state park with full hookups and I love, love, love the single discharge for the sewer hose. It worked great and made things so easy.
The refrigerator that gave me so much trouble at 100+ degrees worked like a charm in the low 80s. Was able to keep the temperature between 36 and 38 with very little heat on the counter top (that was after a much too high setting that froze the lettuce for my salad.......not pretty).
Had some trouble with running lights but I will post that on the electrical thread because I will probably need some help with that.
This was my first experience with zombies and boy did I have them. Met some really great people and even had a few "what a small world" moments. I love this part of it. Some really funny connections to complete strangers.
Didn't have a chance to test the alde for heat but the air conditioner still works great! I did have hot water for showers and washing dishes.
Have three more trips in October and November and will likely try to get a few more in December. I am so glad I took this leap and really appreciate all that I have learned on this forum. Really made all of this so much easier!

Here's our fairly new T@B 400 on a somewhat rainy day at Pioneer Trails RV Park in Anacortes, WA. I didn't bother to set up the PaHaQue awning that day since it was just an overnight trip -- will post a pic with the 400 awning at a future date.
