Your TaB is built by Dutchman and has a different European axle from the current nüCamp production. While it could be done with some custom fabrication, it would be easier to add the shock kit that is available for the AL-KO Euro Axle w/ Brake Drum/System #1637. You might also be able to install a lift kit? I would keep…
I recently inherited a 2006 Dutchman T@B with the ALKO chassis and discovered it was leaking from the clamshell hinge area and there's spots of significant water-damage from under the kitchen to about 3/4 of the way to the axle. There's one spot under the passenger side bench storage area where the chassis bolt is clearly…
@Leaton, do you have a standard TaB400 or the Boondock model? Our TaB originally had the standard axle and was towed across desert dirt roads and did quite well. The coastal California fire access roads and some remote areas have rougher roads which is better negotiated with using a higher Boondock type axle. We had ours…
There never was a very useful owners manual provided. The manual that was sometimes provided was known for generic descriptions and incorrect info on specifics. I probably still have mine somewhere. It's useless! The User Manual Files and Dutchman Archive here have most of the individual component manuals for the DM…
@lhedrick, just a thought since it sounds like you are a relatively new owner. If you undertake the axle - a big job - consider taking a look at your flooring. Dutchman Tabs of this vintage have suffered soft floors from water and the wood used as a base. A number of Tab owners on this forum and the Yahoo group have…
All of the LG T@Bs with Al-Ko axles do not have the sealed bearings, they must be maintained with fresh grease each year or 5000 miles or so. Only the Dutchman T@Bs have the sealed bearings. They are supposed to be maintenance free, but still need to occasionally be replaced. With your Little Guy, you are good to go with…
I *thought* it was a C channel, but don’t quote me on that. I’m assuming from your name that you’re in the Puget Sound area, if so, you can always call or drop by Apache to look more closely at how you would have to do the install. I know for the nuCamp 320, some drilling is required, while the Dutchman T@bs and T@das are…
@HAWAIIANTAB, this will not happen to you or your trailer. The afore mentioned t@b was built by Thor/Dutchman and was constructed with a wooden floor. The newer (first few years of Pleasant Valley t@b production had very limited wood construction materials, excluding cabinets). I'm not sure if by 2016, but certainly by…
I tried to find more specs for the Forester Wilderness but didn't have much luck beyond 3,000lbs and tongue weight of 300lbs. The 320 is well within those limits. It seems like the Wilderness has the same engine as the other Foresters and that the doubled towing capacity is due to the addition of oil coolers. If you don't…
Hi everyone. Skip to the bulleted list if you're impatient and would like to learn what I've learned about the wheel bearings on 2006 (and probably other) Dutchmen T@b trailers. I became impatient waiting for spring to finally come, particularly with the Covid-19 situation, so I got my 2006 Dutchmen T@b out of storage a…
