Re: Batteries moved by previous owner-should I move them back under the bed?
Lifepo4 batteries can be purchased at very competitive prices compared to AGM or lead acid batteries. No venting required.
Re: Is this much current draw normal?
Already solved: pulling the e-brake pin caused it. Happened upon this info in another post.
If your phantom power draw is about 5 to 6 amps, check your break-away e-brake pin.
Reinstalled the pin, current draw is now 0.4 A.
Re: bear country camping
Sounds like you need to treat the situation just as you would tent camping.
But the inside of the Tab will smell like food even if you take all the food away and hang it. Do bears mess with (non-canvas) trailers?
One national park site said that they're even attracted to stove/lantern fuel, and not to leave it out.

Re: Choosing a brake controller - wired vs wireless - replacement on the road!
We use the AuTowbrake wireless controller and have had no issues at all. They are easy to install and configure and can be adjusted on the fly while driving if/as needed. They are a bit pricey, but ours has been smooth and effective for 4 years now.

Re: Fridge Additional Insulation 2021 TAB 320ss? And other ideas for improving fridge efficiency...
I don't worry about it running when towing. My TV supplies 7.5 amps. More than enough to let the 12 volt fridge run constantly (2.5AH) when towing and still have enough to keep the battery charged. The only time I worry is when the T@B has to sit with the front in the direct sun but if that's the case, the roof solar is cranking out power. I'm running two 100AH lithiums though so I haven't run low on power in a couple of years, even with several rain days with no solar.

Re: Brand new unit with dead refrigerator
I have a 2021 400 BDL with the Isotherm 65. It never functioned properly from the first trip. I reached out to NuCamp and Creed gave me a contact to Isotherm. He talked me through several diagnostics, but we couldn't get it to function correctly. He sent me a UPS sticker and I boxed it up and sent it to Isotherm, and they sent me a new unit. Works perfectly to date. Here's the contact I used, if he hasn't moved on since:

Re: Brand new unit with dead refrigerator
Thank you both for the help! (Our delivery was delayed so we only had the unit three days before departure. I'm not even positive of the fridge model.) I downloaded a PDF manual for the closest model # I could find.
UPDATE: my wife woke up and decided she was going to figure this out. She put her entire palm over the control pad for five seconds and the damn thing came to life! Doesn't answer why it shut off.... doesn't inspire confidence... But we're back on schedule for now

Re: Outdoor sensor
Hi @Binghi, thanks for that suggestion. It is one solution to knowing just what the outdoor temperature is at wake-up time. I have already bought Truma's outdoor sensor so I'll proceed with its installation once I receive it. According to the narrator in the video @TourDeForth attached above, the outdoor sensor not only shows outside temperature, it also adds the opportunity to set an outside temperature at the panel at which the Alde heating system will activate in order to maintain the indoor temperature set at the panel, thus eliminating temperature drops inside before the Alde kicks on. This will be interesting to watch on chilly nights I'm sure we'll experience on upcoming trips.
Re: Norcold Refrigerator Exhaust Fan Kit
While chasing a gas leak today on my 2015 t@b S max, I realized that this fan was not installed. I’ve heard a fan running at times but think it is the one I found just above the gas heating assembly…. I vaguely remember the free kit but since I heard a fan at the time, I assumed that I already had the mod…I’ve gleaned from this thread that the upgrade kit mounts a fan just under the fridge cabinet vent found at the right side of the door. Did I get this right?
f150 gate open w/long ball mount
It works. 2023 f150 Powerboost. 2023 Tab 400 BD. Do need to rotate jack handle just a smidge when opening or closing. Might trim it. Otherwise, I am a happy camper!
