Thanks for your questions and suggestions. The battery is a typical car battery and the camper year is 2014. I have a Bluetooth battery app that measure battery level. I’m sure it’s not exact but it seems to show general levels.
In terms of things left on, it’s just the stereo display light, smoke and CO detector, and fridge light. I have a master kill switch at the battery but it seemed to turn off the fridge (running on propane but indicator light obviously needs power). I wonder if you can run the fridge on propane with battery disconnected.
So perhaps I have a parasitic drain or need to try another battery level monitor.
Such a disappointment when I called the dealer I purchased from-- Sun City Trailers in Colorado Springs CO-- because I need a couple of parts-- only to be told they are no longer a Tab dealer & that Nucamp switched to Windish RV! I really liked my dealer & his service guys are the best. IMHO Nucamp made a huge mistake. They should have done some more research on customer reviews of Windish in Colorado-- Windish would be near the bottom of my list for purchase-- would not ever take my unit to them for service & I'm not going to by parts from them either. I'll have to find another dealer out of state to order parts for me. I hope someone forwards this discussion to someone at Nucamp. I have referred people to Sun City & would tow my trailer from north of Denver to Colorado Springs for service. Now I have no idea who I'm going to get service from! You made a big mistake Nucamp 🤔. Anyone have a suggestion of a dealer outside of Colorado who won't gouge on parts & will drop- ship? AARGgggg
This is my first trailer for camping, but have always done a lot of tent camping in state parks. When I look at pictures of many RV parks they look barren and packed with RVs. I guess I will use them, but only as a second choice. The state parks in Texas I have looked in to don't seem to have restrictions on tents, but space may be a problem.
One thing that can cause excessive noise is if the hoses to/from the water pump are touching or close to the wall, normal shaking during pump operations can cause the hoses to bang against the wall. If you can access the pump hose with the water running, you might find that the noise if reduced when you hold one or both of the hoses. While I have not done this yet, some split water pipe insulation from a hardware store wrapped around the hoses could help a lot.
It would be worthwhile as a "maintainer" while between trips.
I can picture a small flexible panel mounted there. I'm not sure if there is a panel that would fit the top of the tub that would have enough power to recharge while driving. Sounds like a good idea if you can find a panel that would work that you could attach properly.
@d@Dalehelman had this idea a couple of years ago. A panel somehow attached to the tow vehicle roof would simply need a cable running to the solar controller in the tub and then to the battery.
Thanks for posting this. Clear & simple. It helps to have something like this to follow. I also put about a gallon of RV antifreeze into the fresh water tank. During our 1st winter in MN there must have been a little water at the bottom of the tank despite having been winterized at the factory. The nylon elbow behind the fresh water drain froze and cracked. In the spring the water tank gets rinsed and sterilized as a matter of course so it really isn’t any extra work.
