Good morning everyone! We have a game plan for today that involve staying dry. Ranger Dennis has offered us use of the pavilion shelter closest to A loop as you were driving into the park on the right side. Eric can use some help about 10 o’clock taking everything down for the barbecue and he’ll have dinner done by six. It will be nice to have a big open area that’s covered with tables we could stay dry!

Can't make it, but phones these days do have video modes *hint, hint*. I'm not sure if anyone will notice if the sprinklers go off in this weather. Are you getting the same as the DC metro area? I have had to swim to the yard to take out the dog. He loves it. Who'd have guess that a German Shepherd would love water so much. He also loves to fetch. I think I have a Golden Retriever in a German Shepherd coat. LOL.

At Friday's Potluck, Nancy (Creamsicle)
B-39, commented about the roller coaster drive from Oregon on US-97
and I-82. The route includes the Yakima -to- Ellensburg rolling
(steep) hills and Blewett Pass. I had to leave Lincoln Rock early
and forgot to tell Nancy she can by-pass most of the roller coaster
and save about 50 driving miles by following the Columbia River on her
return drive to Oregon
Could someone forward this route option
to Nancy . . . . .
WA-28 (south) to Quincy,
WA-281 (south) to I-90
I-90 (west) to WA-26, exit 137
toward Othello
Soon after Exit 137, Right Turn on
to WA-243,
Take Bridge to WA-240 &
Richland. Rest Stop after bridge crossing
From Richland follow signs to I-82
& Umatilla
Blue Line is the Route she drove up
RED Line is following river.

To all that attended: First of all, despite the downpour on Thursday, I'm pretty certain this event was a HUGE success! Many thanks to those who rushed in to help those that were the worst effected! You folks are awesome! I want to thank @Dalehelman for your help with everything you did for me, including our little recon trip to secure the pavilion & save our BBQ & sing-along from the rain. @2Cougs , @Homebodyatheart, Mr. 2Coug & Mr. Homebodyatheart, a special thanks for the assistance at the BBQ, your help was much appreciated (I ALSO know there was a LOT of sampling during the help!), and I couldn't have done it without you two! To EVERYONE that helped out on Saturday when I blew out my shoulder THANK YOU ALL! Thanks to everyone for your generous donations to assist in the costs of the BBQ. It was very much appreciated! The way everyone in this group stepped up to help each other out was incredible to say the least. To say I'm proud to be a part of this group would be an understatement. To Marceline, and Jill, and a whole lot of others....Thanks for your condolences, support, toasts, & just plain being great friends! You made this trip a joy for me, and although there were some tough moments along they way, your support & friendship helped me through it all. I'm quite sure Liz had a smile on her face, and I know in spirit she was there with us. I had SOOO much fun reuniting with some old friends, and meeting a lot of new ones. Yanni & Mike, you made this a very special event for us with your music. Thanks a whole lot for contributing! In closing, I would like to give an extremely BIG thanks to @Homebodyatheart, @2Cougs, and everyone else who helped chip in their time & efforts to make this a GREAT event. I know how much time was spent not only putting this event together, but also doing a LOT of follow-up, organizing, and distributing of not only helpful information, but the "goodie" bags, and guidance for the newer folks to this event. Your efforts did not go un-noticed! Thanks also to nuCamp for the goodies you sent along to help support this event. Hope to see you all again next year, along with perhaps some new faces along with those that were unable to attend this year. Thanks to ALL for helping to make this a HUGE success! Eric
