I arrived Thursday night, parked in my spot and didn't unhitch because I had an early appointment with Austin.
The new updated 400 sink—all shiny and new. It works very well!
when I woke up this morning, this was next to me:
A1957 Chevrolet towing an Apache pop up manufactured about the same time. It was cool!
I’ve been rather busy, so I haven’t done much to the campsite. I even forgot my patio rug and I think the borrowed blue striped rug looks just fine! Thanks Sharon K!
the sun is out, a bit overcast, but warm enough. I haven’t turned the A/C on yet, maybe in a little while so I can leave Sunny Day in the T@B while I go grab a bite to eat. Yes, there will be the required doggie bag for her 👍

@Verna New sink looks great! That Apache pop up made me swoon though, I’ve always had a soft spot for those. And that tow vehicle is a perfect match. 😊

@N7SHG_Ham, I didn’t see the second part of your question. The sink is not quite plug and play. They had to drill a 4” hole (I think). Here’s one “in progress” photo.
I do not know if the piece of wood was already in place or if it was added fo

They were talking on FB about the soggy conditions. How is it? Also, it was implied that there were some unhappiness perhaps. I can't see the T@b community not making the best of it... Allison sounds stressed maybe? Since we can't go, DW is busy putting up a different command strip basket up front by the sink for charging devices. Also, we are putting on one of those shower door stickers..

A quiet Sunday morning at WinklePleck. The grass is either green or washed out from the previous storms (then covered by straw to help with the mud). An overcast skies for the day, and a possibility of afternoon storms on Monday.
Sunny Day is having fun because there are many dogs her size—she gets to play!

@TerryV6, it is soggy in some places, wet in others, but mostly dry. I
will have to dig two Legos out of the ground Saturday because I read the tip to late from @Dalehelman to be never the Legos right side up in moist ground. Yup, they sink below the ground very quickly.
Allison had to stop changing spots for campers because she ran out of extra sites. There’s only so many sites here, and the extras are gone. There’s no need for anyone to get upset, just “Camp On”. We’re good at making due with what Mother Nature gives it, or we get used to it. It’s camping and that’s what we camp here to do 😉

Looks like the sites are well marked this year, making the initial site location much easier. Seems like each year the nüCamp folks get better at organization and simplification. Kudos to them, and thanks for the pics @Verna.
A Monday night spent with Elsie, her sister, Sarah, Teresa from California, and Lucky who is Elsie and Sarah’s Horse. A quick photo of Elsie, the rear end of Lucky. I’ve never spent much time with horses and s short buggy ride was fun! Thanks, Elsie!

I think the idea is that the "legos" leveler blocks that come with some models have a top and bottom and the bottom is great for hard ground but cuts in a bit.. flipping them upside down so that the present more surface area to the ground and do not "cut in" like "cookie cutters" is the tip.
I have two different types of blocks and one type has no "flat area" so I need to put a bit of wood or other on the bottom to prevent this

Good morning! Got a 5:30 am start - it’s pretty much me the dog walkers and the guys with the honey wagons - yes they started at 6 am!
UCamp 2019 at Winklepleck Campground got off to a nice start yesterday. We thought we got here early, but as it turns out, the vast majority beat us - some arriving days earlier.
After check in, we set up quickly and managed to beat a downpour! But, the next few days are scheduled to be a beauty and things will dry up nicely.
It was nice to see a map indicating the hometowns of attendees (@TerryV6, I think us forum folks suggested that).
I am dividing up the photos in this post to make sure old ATT can manage the uploading.
So last night, we had a wine and cheese reception and saw old friends. New owners shared our table and of course, they had lots of questions! Allison - the event planner- kept us informed. (That’s Mandy to her right.)
(Sorry for the head shot!)
It is about 50 degrees this morning, but we stayed nice and toasty in our CSS without the Alde.
Dawn at Winklepleck
MousekeTab is here...
And a couple of contenders for best decorated TaB!
There will be a rush for those Amish donuts this morning - so more pics later.
Going to be another beautiful day here in Sugarcreek. Another Amish Donut morning (here is yesterday’s version)
Yesterday was an open day, but today there are several events - the annual Swap Meet, the Potluck Dinner tonight and they just added an impromptu “Stump the Chumps” session - questions and answers from a couple very experienced TaB owners.
nuCamp has all the new model TaBs on display including the first Avia off the line. More pictures later.
Well, it is pretty soggy here at the rally, but we have all made the best of it. Yesterday started out sweet and ended with a torrent. Today is cold and wet! None the less, today’s Question and Answer sessions with Marvin, Creed and Spencer (Alde) were well attended. There were individual sessions for 320s, 400s and TaGs. Tonight’s Movie Night has been cancelled as the ground under the tent is too water logged. Hopefully the wind will dry things out just a bit. Here are a few pics -
The official uCamp19 t-shirt
The Swap Meet was held under the big tent across the street. Lots of stuff for sale and RV product vendors displaying their wares. The Challenger Door vendor did a free installation with each door lock purchase.
Following the Potluck Dinner, Allison gave away lots of very generous door prizes - Yeti Coolers, grills, battery chargers, $50 dealer service certificates, to name a few.
Last evening closed with a Mandy and Kendrick video presentation of their Alaska to Mexico Tab adventure. They answered questions until the lights went out and we called it a night!
Factory tours were scheduled in groups of 15 and held during the work day. The new Avia production line was seen for the first time.
Here is a good side view of the 400 bathroom plumbing:
NuCamp may continue to grow, but some things have stayed the same...
So, We were rewarded Friday with warm and sunny weather which helped reduce the mud pits. In the afternoon, many women participated in a Solo Women Traveler session lead by Jenn Grover, Amanda Evans, Jean Handford and Verna. These ladies shared their wisdom and we came away with a lot of good ideas about how to safely travel and camp alone with confidence!
Breakfast offered large quantities of cream filled, maple glazed pastries. Then we all took a nap! (Allison behind the counter.)
Nate and his tractor was available to pull your TaB to higher ground.
The evening closed with a catered meal by Bahler Pizza and musical entertainment by on site campers.
nuCamp owner Joe Mullet and family and other nuCamp workers joined in.
I forgot to mention - nuCamp provided free WiFi! It was a little spotty, but it worked! So, mark your calendars for next year as uCamp 2020 is scheduled June 22 - June 27.
Thank you everyone for the great pictures and video. It felt like I was almost there. It looked like everyone had a great time even with the wet weather... Next year in SugarCreek!!
