What do you consider to be your "Most Valuable" trailer mod?

I've got a few thus far, but would have to say that Poptab's mod https://tab-rv.vanillacommunity.com/discussion/1916/sewer-hose-storage-solution/p1 is probably the most valuable mod on my trailer, followed up with the side table enhancement and changes to the Lagun pedestal support bar. I smile every time I utilize both of these mods as they make use of the trailer easier and both add value to the trailer in my opinion.

Can't decide between two, both are storage related.
I made these barriers so I could store our bedding behind the sofa back without it falling down where I couldn't reach it. After years of having to store our camping bedding in the house, hauling it in and out every time, and having to stuff it into the SUV, it is a treat to just keep it in the trailer.
The other is the storage bins I bolted to the front platform. We can keep all the RV specific hoses, cords, chocks, etc. with the trailer instead of hauling them in and out of the SUV.
My goal has been to keep the trailer ready to go camping anytime! The work involved in packing and unpacking kept us from camping as often as we'd like when we were tent campers.John and Henrietta, Late 2016 T@B S Max in Western New York -
Diamond plate tub with dual golf cart batteries and shut off switch, Alde digital thermostat (there's something to be said about consistant temperatures), Lagun inside and outside brackets (plenty of floor room now), SeeLevel tank gauges (although I didn't do the work) and the soon to be completed storage boxes for under the rear shelf.Verna, Columbus, IN

I think it is the tongue box. The DM clamshell did not come with the plastic propane bottle cover included on other models because of lack of space on the tongue. Careful measurements and selection of available boxes let me add a completely closed container on the front of the trailer.
In this box I carry:
10# and 5# LPG bottles and regulator
BAL Leveler
30A - 30ft electrical cord
30ft hose
4 wheel chocks
4 stabilizer pads
Hitch lock
Power drill and socket extension for stabilizers
Rubber mallet
Misc. electrical adapters
Charcoal lighter
Trailer hitch alignment aids
A few other small items
And it holds my spare tire mount!
I can completely set up and connect when I get to my campsite without ever opening the trailer.

Probably a very close second is the solar panels on the roof. I have had virtually no battery charge issues since the installation and they require no attention. They are always on and maintaining the batteries regardless of when or where we are.

Have fun!

Now that the nights are getting colder, the extra vent holes in the back shelf to let all that trapped warm air escape.

Bob... I'm interested in your solar power bands. Would you mind sharing where you purchased them. My Google search failed. Thank you.2017 white/black trim T@B Outback; 2017 white Subaru Outback; Seattle

I would have to say the single most valuable mod for me was having the tongue box replaced with the Outback box. It is larger, stronger, won't chip, has a bottom, can carry all of my set up needs, and still looks good.

My most valuable mod has been installing my Enduro Power Mover
www.purplelineusa.com
It gives me complete control on parking the camper, hitching, unhitching, and storing in my garage. I "can" back up the trailer, but this guarantees I will never get into a backing up pickle that I can't get out of without help.
My 2nd most valuable mod were my storage doors to access the bench seating. I added two exterior doors, and the now standard bench door. There is lots of storage under the bench seats that I wasn't using as I hate "moving something to get to something else" so accessing those areas from doors instead of lifting the bench seating became very useful.

Oreo,
The panels are UniSolar ePVL-68. The company went out of business ~2012 but some of the panels are still available. I recently saw some on eBay and another pair changed hands at the BRR this past spring. I don't know of any equivalent product currently available.

Replaced Norcold 12V fridge with an Engel two-way. Much more efficient and easier on the battery. And, it's quieter.
Installed chest of drawers on the driver side bench, eliminating having to haul around three storage tubs.
-
I would say the sewer hose storage and the table mount, they really come in handy. I would say the third one is the single black/gray water drain setup.

-
I've been meaning to share this for a while; I got a medical grade thermometer with min/max memory to keep track of how the Norcold fridge is doing.
It's been great!

Several mods but my fave are
1. Solar panels on roof
2. Replaced front bench with cupboards (I have a CS)
3. Extended counter top in galley
4. Heating vent pipe to bring air up above the bed

Our most important mod by FAR has been removing the back cabinets.
http://tab-rv.vanillaforums.com/discussion/3216/mod-report-removed-the-head-banger-cabinets/p1
I know it seems like sacrilege to some but to me it was a matter of we LOVE our trailer but can we keep it and make it work or not. One thing I didn't mention in the mod thread is I get claustrophobic very easily - to the point of panic attacks if I wake up in an enclosed space - and sleeping in an enclosed space with cabinets right above my head was freaking me out in addition to banging my head. While still on the dealer's lot we commented on how beautiful the cabinets are - but in practical application no-way-no-how. Since doing the mod we have now decided to keep the area above our heads completely clear and what a relief it has been. We are having to be creative on where we store our clothes but that's OK too. -
@Tommy I could easily see pulling those cabinets out. They look nice but are not all that deep, they are awkward and not easily reached when my bed is set up. I would love to sacrifice them for a big window like on the front of the T@G or on the European 400.

We like our Yakima rack but have found the angle to be pretty much useless other than for ... well ... carrying a tire

Permanent solar on roof with dual AGM batteries is my top. Drawers added above frig and at various location simplified organization would be my second favorite.

Tabster, can you post a picture or explain how you did the heating vent? I have a CS as well and have been pondering how best to get better heat circulation. Thanks.

mash2, where did you get the solar panels? I am very interested in adding these to my T@B.Stancil Campbell

The heating vent is a piece of 2" PVC drain pipe with an elbow on the top end. I drilled a 2" hole in the back "ledge" and a matching hole in a piece of 1x6 cut to fit where a bed slat would go. Popped in the 1x6, inserted the pipe, and done. I keep the bed made up all the time so this allows heat up over the bed. As you know, it can be an oven under the bed but just try and get the heat to spread quickly above it. Could easily add a second one for more heat even faster.

Hey SAM. Sorry it took so long but here are the counter extension pics. Used one of the "bed slats" a piano hinge and a folding shelf bracket

Bjfrezell, check out my post on this. go to the first page, it explains the complete install and parts needed, Thanks.

I'll echo jkjenn's response. Dual 6V batteries connected in series has got to be the best, hands down, mod that I have done. I primarily boondock so this is essential. A close second is a custom oak table that is slightly longer and wider than the stock Lagun table. It doubles as bed slats.Jon & Angela | Florissant Colorado | 2017 Outback S

How did you do the single grey/black water drain set up?
