    @Verna, I guess the good news is that it's March, not summer! Another urgent question comes to mind...do they have a backup generator to keep the ice cream sandwich freezer cold?  =)

    @Homebodyatheart, they do have a freezer in the Activities Room in the Community Bldg, but I have nothing in it.  (Ice Cream is not on my diet ;( ) The gas station and convenience store nearby must have had a backup generator for the freezers inside because they were selling ice cream at normal prices.

    @ericnliz... Remember the almost shut down of state parks last July when it was so hot? Well in anticipation of a shut down the nice camp hosts (they really are very nice!)at Nine Mile had to make sure the ice cream cooler was empty. We were in to camp right after the budget was passed and they had to make a Costco run. Whew! We had ice cream bars! Disaster averted... Sort of like if you ran low on your favorite commodities. =)

    :rofl:@ericnliz... it's still March up here in the wild Northwest. And yes, it was 30' at my house today, frosty white roofs and all. Just be grateful we aren't on the Eastern Seaboard. Those poor folks are socked in with no end in sight!

    @dsfdogs last winter here was wickedly awful with more sheet ice everywhere for longer than anyone can remember. I'll take snow, but leave the ice out of it!

    @dsfdogs, I'm thinkin' probably one of her messengers.....if it was Liz, she'd have had a LOT more clothing/protection on than a beanie & a scarf! Liz hated the cold, & once she GOT cold, it took her forever to warm up again. I'd walk around the house in a T-shirt, & she'd have insulated jeans, a sweatshirt & at LEAST one blanket wrapped around her & still be cold! ;)
    @Homebodyatheart, You KNOW this was your fault for sayin' the "S" word out loud, right? I said an "S" word, but it had NOTHING to do with the fluffy white stuff. (Oh, and it was more than casual muttering!  :D)
