Re: Loose handles-- stripped screws?
If plastic zip ties did not hold you might try toothpicks to completely fill the hole, then use waterproof wood glue and allow it to dry. Cut the toothpicks off flush, drill a tiny pilot for the screw and go slow.
Re: Loose handles-- stripped screws?
Use bigger and possibly longer screws, preferably Robertson square drive style. I keep a big selection of these screws to replace stripped screws.
Re: WFCO 8955-AD and WFCO 8735-AD jumper
I finally got the WFCO to activate lithium mode without the jumper or deep discharging. All I had to do was re-wire the trailer ;-)
Moved the batteries inside and ran 6 feet of 6ga between the batteries and loads (Eventually going to install a 50A Orion XS). For the first time ever the blue light and cooling fan came on right away. Saw 20A at first, but was close to 100% so it’s been dropping steadily for the absorption phase.
So I don’t think there was ever a problem with the WFCOs. NuCamp just shouldn’t have installed such a long run of 10ga between the load center and the batteries.

That’s a heck of a deal!bayernfan said:Yes, Princesscraft in Texas has a few new 2024 Tab 400 Boondocks advertised at $37k.
Re: Installed the KickAss brand awning on my 2023 320s Boondock
A little of both, I didn’t want to just rely on four little M4 size bolts to hold it on there. For day to day street use it would be fine, but for going down a trail I wanted the extra security of the double sided tape. Probably overkill because that tape sure is strong enough, and with the four screws it is on there very secure. I can setup the awning in under 5 minutes, probably two minutes if I wanted to time myself. I just wanted something simple that I can easily setup by myself. And since it was so easy to disassemble the awning, I can replace any or all of it when it wears out.

I looked at the bonnet style awnings that slide into the Keder rail and decided that just wasn’t for me. I prefer a simple traditional style awning. So I purchased this awning from KickAss Products USA. https://kickassproducts.com/products/kickass-2-0m-x-2-5m-heavy-duty-awning-with-led-light-strip It’s 6.5 x 8 feet and uses built in poles with a couple tent stakes. I like the way it looks and the ease of setting up. It has a LED light strip that plugs into USB as a bonus. It was tricky to install on the Keder rail but came out real well.

Re: Water Leak from Rain
Hi,
Want to post an update if anyone else discovers such a leak. I’ve narrowed it down to either the exterior gray tank vent or outside cassette door seal with it most likely being the gray tank vent. We are still out traveling but in a heavy rain today the leak has stopped . I was able to caulk around the gray tank vent before the rain. For now, since we are still out traveling , just before the rain , I placed painters tape around the cassette door to seal it. We have not been at a water site for a while so I can not use a hose to confirm if it’s the cassette door or not, but leak appeared to originate inside around the black vent pipe that you can just see beyond the electrical area so I suspect the exterior gray tank vent (shown with cover off). When we are at a water site, I’ll spray the cassette door from the top to confirm for sure .

Re: Driving Self Crazy What If'ing on Next Trailer & Tow Vehicle {long rambling}
@dsfdogs, Thanks sharing your Escape story. I did find someone in Phoenix who shows his, but we could not connect this summer. It would be a two hour drive for me to see it and I was starting to see some of the less desirable features you noted, especially the outside battery storage and tiny bathroom. So I decided to hold off on Escape for now. There may be an Escape 19 in my future if I decide to go with them.
The more I look around, the more I appreciate the design of the 320 for a small trailer.

Re: Expectations of solar vs reality?
@tabranger - first screenshot indicates that you are bulk charging at 1.20 A and the shunt indicates the battery is fully charged. The shunt rested battery voltage typically drops over several hours. 13.26 seems low. Show us your shunt settings.
Re: Expectations of solar vs reality?
I would set the tail current at .5%, otherwise, the SOC will read 100% when your battery current is 8 A. Not sure I would set the discharge floor to 0 on any battery. Set the charged detection time to 5 minutes (this will prevent passing clouds causing the current to drop before the voltage resulting in a premature 100% SOC. I would turn off the Battery Charge on reset. If the battery becomes disconnected and discharges, you don’t want an artificial SOC when you hook back up.
