Re: T@B 400 Alde corrosion
Not sure which pump is for the main Alde and which for the flow, but I think the 400 setting is typically set at 2-3. Can any 400 owner confirm?
Re: T@B 400 Alde corrosion
Thanks, I did not notice the bucket before! How much is in it? You mentioned one pump turned up high. The glycol can escape from the tank from that tube that comes from the top of the tank. It drains, along with the air bleed valve drain, from that "plug" in the Alde compartment floor. The expansion tank tube is clear, and it will be easy to tell if there is glycol in it.

I just tried to get good photos of the two pumps on our 2024 400 but I'll admit that it is difficult to do, given the tight constraints of all the plumbing down there. No way that I could actually get eyes on them. The rear pump at the Flow appears to be set at 4 and the front at 2.
Re: Quality Control
Despite the initial laundry list of issues we had I humbly admit that this thing has handled most of what we've thrown at it. We've been on washboard roads, bounced it around on several trips...not babying it at times...and it's been great. With all of the complaints about the Alde not working, ours has been flawless. It was mostly the finish carpentry inside that was the main issue.
We recently camped with my parents who rented a Coachmen class b motorhome. The thing was a 2020 and was falling apart. Granted it was a rental unit but the quality was horrendous. The typical stapled cardboard cabinets, rickety slide outs, etc. Sometimes I do have to step back to appreciate the good things about our 400.

Re: T@B 400 Alde corrosion
If you think the bleed valve is defective, it would have ejected the glycol out under the trailer. This would be very obvious under the trailer. Since you recently emptied and filled your system, it may just be their is/was still some areas in the glycol loop that still had a little air, and the Alde "burped" that air from the expansion tank.
So....how much glycol is under the trailer? How much is in the expansion tank? I would try adding glycol into the tank and observing the valve and the drain.
If you saw the other threads about failed valves.....a lot of glycol was spilled in those cases.
In the DIY Glycol Change file, the whole last section describes "burping" the Alde and adjusting the amount of glycol in the tank as air is ejected.
Re: Alde Heating
Amendment to my first post. Removed the pump and bench tested with 12v battery; pump does run. The control board will not run the pump even though I get a 12v reading with my meter. I think the voltage reading I am getting is back feed voltage on the board. Tech at Alde says bad board. Alde will not sell me the board, Nucamp will not sell me the board. Local Nucamp dealer will sell me the board for $300. Or I can buy it from a company in the UK for $347. I went with the dealer. Sincerely Tim
Re: Over head fan died
My fan was working intermittently and appears to have been caused by a stuck lid closed switch. Just FYI for anyone else having a similar issue.
Re: ‘22 Tab 400 fresh water drain won’t drain
They don’t specify an air pressure. I used my car compact air compressor with the attachment for inflating yoga balls and held it in the fresh tank drain hole. At first it made water come out the cold drain valve that I had open so I closed that. Took a few tries and held it there less than 30 seconds but it eventually dislodged the blockage.
Re: Looking for Repair Suggestions
I would just seal the hole with Butyl caulk or use a sheetmetal screw shortened by grinding so it does not project far inside.
