@Yoshi_TAB I have to say you’re the best, excellent ideas, pictures, diagrams and Q&A’s, so I guess I’ll be copying a little bit from each of you, and applying some of the suggestions and, I will definitely take you up on asking questions I’m sure I’ll be running into some issues from time to time.
I am so excited to get this upgrade done, I retired two years ago and since I did not retired to something, this baby will keep me entertained for a while until I get it done.
If boondocking I always fill everything and prime the pump. I use the power tank fill to fill the fresh tank, then switch over to city water to fill the Alde and the fresh water lines. I also bleed all the air out of the lines to ensure the lines are filled and the Alde is filled completely. Lastly I just turn on the pump and it primes in about a second. Seems to prime immediately with the lines filled from the city water. The gray water capacity has never bothered us. It is very simple to drain it directly into a 5 gallon bucket then use that water to put out your camp fire each night. We always pre-wipe are dishes and use biodegradable soap so our gray tank does not nasty and we can easily dispose of gray water if needed.
@ScottG That’s my thought as well, I am planning on leaving the existing tub wiring as is for future use. I will also add a new cutoff switch on the outside of the pax bench, I am looking for a low profile switch in Amazon. Once I get the wiring done, I will document everything, and generate/draw a wiring diagram with the associated components.
I believe this will help me and others troubleshoot any future electrical issues, specially members who owns the 2021 T@B 320 S BD.
Thank you ScottG
SLJ, has been very helpful in providing me with the information related to his dual batteries upgrade mod, I really like his mod so I have purchased all of the components required. I will post the pictures of the end product. Thank you SLJ
Our '23 320 came from the factory with an Isotherm 65. According to the data tag on the interior of the unit it is capable of running on 12/24vdc or 100-240vac, 50/60Hz. However, there's only 12vdc power connected to a terminal board on the rear of the unit---the frig has no other electrical connections. The pos side is fused via a 15a ATO fuse located on the back of the frig itself. It is fused again with a 20a ATO fuse at the WFCO DC power center. There's an unused, recessed male plug (labeled 100-240vac 50-60Hz) located on the top rear of the unit.
Agreed! I always fill my tank, then run each device to purge all of the air, then top it off...as you mentioned. I also drain the gray water tank just before I leave...as it's only clean purge water.
@Sharon_is_SAM. Thank you...I will look into a smart charger. I wonder if, by unplugging everything, I ended up resetting the BMV...and thats why it jumped from 95 to 100% when I reconnected? Still not sure how it got corrupted. I have been charging with shore power and two solar controllers for over two years and this is the first time I've had any issues. Thanks again!
The one I linked to above shows the size (2.76") and matches the ones used on my 2021 tub. You will need to measure the length of yours as there could have been different suppliers. The 2.76 is the critical length.
