Hi DesertDweller! The side canopy is a Hasika. It is connected by cords to the tire rack and front handles. There is no gap. Nice place to sit in our chairs! Still testing out - so far appears to be waterproof in rainy conditions.
Umatilla Forks campground, Oregon. U.S. Forest Service. Remote. 12 spots. 6 RV, 2 combination, 4 tent. Maximum length 21'. Elevation about 2,300 or 2,500 ft. Extremely hot. 97°F yesterday. 30 miles to the nearest gas or ice. 1 x cell service with Verizon. We are alone. No human voices, vehicles, rv's or generators. No fumes from them either. Our 13 yr old is reveling in the solitude, as am I. We get migraines from loud noises, bad fumes, food additives, etc. Sorry we're not camped pretty, or glammed, but utilitarian and comfy. We had to drive through the Umatilla Nation land and eventually through washboard gravel road to get here, but worth every bump. I have never seen this child so happy and relaxed. The non-pace here is glorious.
Old Corundum Millsite Campground, Franklin, NC, Site 69, W/E/S/C/WiFi. VERY SHADED, some waterfront sites, nice bath house, friendly folks. Only downside, lots of permanent residents, but clean sites.
Mt. Bigelow, AZ 8,400ft msl. Did 3 fun days of trail running. After running up the muddy mountain amidst cracking lightning and pouring rain, it was comforting to enter the safe, warm and dry confines of the Tr@il T@rdis. The hail started right after we got 'home'. Boondocking Location; right about here: https://what3words.com/agile.weeded.alarms
It was overcast for 3 days- so the solar panel didn't contribute much- but we managed to stay above 50% battery (12.1V), even with the provided 75Ahr.
After a couple of quick one-nighters we finally had the chance to take our 2020 320S BDL out for two multi-day trips over the last few weeks.
First was at Willow Bay campground in the Allegheny Nat’l Forest. This is a nice park with a variety of campsites - we were in the Hemlock Loop. If you’re in the inner part of the loop there are electrical hookups, but these sites are heavily treed and were kind of buggy due to all the wet weather. The outer part of the loop overlooks the water and some sites are pretty open and drier, but no hookups. There is another section with more wide-open sites and electric hookups - good for bigger rigs or if you want to spread out a bit. Despite some rain the night we arrived and the following day, the next two days were nice and we even had another T@B as a neighbor - nice folks (Don and Stephanie) in their new-to-them used T@B. We had a nice time talkin’ T@Bs but they were only staying one night and were gone the next day.
Second trip was to Lewey Lake State Park in the ADK. We have been going there for years - always tenting - but this was our first visit in our T@B. There are no hookups at NYS Parks so we also got a taste of boondocking. The fridge ran great on propane and we even had to turn it down a bit as it started to turn our milk into a smoothie! We lucked out with a lakeside site in our favorite section (probably a cancellation) and got to try out our new All-Pro awning and Gazelle pop-up. Everything worked great, although one of the awning stakes came loose when a brief but heavy storm blew through - easily fixed.
After four great days we headed home. Coming around a turn a few miles south of the campground we came face-to-face with another T@B heading north. It happened so quickly there was no time to honk or wave, so if you were in the white-with-yellow T@B on Route 30: hello!

I took my nieces on the first overnight RV camping trip. We went to the Mill Creek Recreation Area and stayed at the COE campground. The weather was so pleasant, I just ran the fan....and my allergies have paid for it all week. Mom would kill me for posting a photo of my sunshade without the stakes or keder attachment but I left them all at home. I better put them back in the T@b before my trip. Tying it to the handles did the trick for a quick overnight, though.
The campground was a nice campground but I cannot wait to hit my mountain view campgrounds next month!

Just returned from a great long weekend camping with my gal’s group, 11 of us camping at Heyburn State Park in North Idaho. Beautiful campground, beautiful weather and great friends! Love my Tab more each trip! Brought Reggie, my furry sidekick. There’s a lot to be said for morning naps in the sun!
