SAVE MY MARRIAGE, PLEASE! Toilet seat won’t stay up!

We're in the midst of our second voyage in our 2021 320 Boondock. Although I had this issue during our maiden voyage I forgot to seek help then.
The darned toilet seat seems to have a mind of its own and sick sense of humor. How can I put this? Well let's just say midstream it decides to close and well, you know.
I've learned to hold the seat up, most times, but it's a bit cumbersome. Any suggestions on how to keep it from falling down? Of course I'll remember to close it when I'm down. That marriage issue was resolved years ago. Thanks in advance. From wife Sparky too.

    Rare earth magnets - one glued to the seat and one secured to the panel behind the toilet.

    Yes, the most obvious solution is just to sit when you pee.  This will reduce splashing and lots of cleanup afterwards.  If you must stand, on the 400, you can close the shower curtain around the toilet back and sides.  Then you can just use the shower to spray the curtain off every now and then.  On the 320, just shower down afterwards.   ;)

    it has to do with whether your T@b is level front to back. If it is slightly higher in the front, the seat will want to fall down.

    On our 400, the shower curtain knocks the seat/cover down; I feel your pain!  The child safety latch is a brilliant mod idea.  Ringing up Jeff Bezos now . . . .

    Another contributor suggested moving the shower curtain to beside the door, which I did and it eliminated that issue along with putting the curtain in a more sanitary location.

    @andyboy gets this week's award for most humorous (and relatable!) thread title.

    @Marceline...NEVER!  ;)

    Like @DenisP and others my curtain is either one side or the other of the shower head. Works just fine.

    @Marceline: I’m @AirBoss! NEVER!!
    I sadly had a friend whose wife shamed him into that. He never should have told us. Divorced after a couple of years.

    @Denny16, I’ve got to stand! I’m an Iowan! Should there be a middle-of-the-night mishap and it didn’t get all cleaned up, I just tell my wife there was a leak.

    jkjenn, level? I’m luck to back into the spot! Off just a little? I suspect. Thanks for head’s up.

    @AirBoss, ha! Thanks.

    And you shower curtain people, we 320 people aren’t that fancy.
    but good info to know!

    Having discovered the same thing the 1st time I used it. I tried the leveling thing.... Don't, lulls you into a false sense of security before falling down... I sit at night during the normal (age related) wake up calls. But before the trip this weekend magnets are being glued on!!!!

    I think the magnet mod would be a nice little nuCamp addition.  Unique and cheap!

    The child lock looks like a good idea, but perhaps to keep it "looking" like an RV, use a baggage door catch.

    All I have to say is try camping with 9 and 11 yr old Great Nephews. The 11 yr old has good aim, the 9 yr old tends to look around in the bathroom but he turns his entire body when he turns around. He cleaned the 400’s bathroom the last time!

    The seat on my 2015 stays up just fine. Shoehorning myself into that tiny space to pee standing up is another story...  ;-)

    @Sharon_is_SAM. Like the magnet idea...but what about the hidden things behind that wall?...wonder what an earth magnet could do...not to mention sitting on the magnet while doing the sit down shower...lol...

    Signage may help...as an aviation guy always found this one humorous but spot on. It hangs over the "stand up" devices in the Mens room at Reno Air Races. Hopefully this doesn't end the thread...

    OK, I guess sitting on the magnet would not be good.  Maybe put a square of metal on the panel behind the toilet and use magnets mounted under the seat and lid.  The pump (pre 2021 S) and the glycol expansion tank (all CS and 2021 S models) hang out back there.  Not sure what rare earth magnets will do to a water pump.  Any volunteers?

    You folks are having way too much fun talking about peeing!
