@Dutch061 and @ScottG, I should have clarified that I take it off the grill at 135 but foil it and let it "rest" and it will climb to 145 which is the going temp for medium rare...we like to live dangerously!
@PNWtabber I bought this grill because it has igniter (to replace a $20 charbroil that didn’t) and it works well for me! I love the size and especially that it’s lightweight! I stow it in a cloth sack in my TV when traveling. I haven’t had any problems with it. And it was very budget friendly!

Camp Chef Ranger II stove using quick release propane connector on the 2021 T@B 320S Boondock for cooking outside.
Tried bypassing the regulator on our Coleman but I finally gave up on trying to get it to work on the quick release connection, just not enough pressure. I doubt any stove that uses the small green bottles will work unless connected directly to the tank before the regulator. This is a nicer stove anyway.

I have a compact grill by STOK that seemed to be just what I wanted, but the only thing it would work with was the small 1 lb disposable propane canister no matter how hard I tried. Like you, even with the regulator removed.
I am convinced that the pressure from the 1 lb canisters is high pressure in nature and therefore no device that uses a 1 lb canister is ever going to work at the back of the T@B.
I have the Ranger II pictured above and it is a great stove. Pots and pans of all sizes fit on here more more so than the T@B 320 stove, however, it is another thing to carry and I still don't have a grill.
I would still like to try out the Nomadiq that I mentioned in an earlier post on this thread (yes, I would have improvise a lid - but that's doable) - but I just don't know if it will work with this low pressure outlet.
From the thread: “Sounds like an easy way to determine if your grill will work with the low pressure propane port. “Get a grill that does NOT use the small 1 lb portable bottles, i.e. requires an external regulator.”

I agree. The Camp Chef Ranger II has been solid for us. Easy to light and has plenty of BTUS.

Eureka 2 burner camp stove with adapter and 5 lb tank. Can move anywhere (like if picnic table is far away). Boils water fast but also allows to simmer low. Also use ASMOKE 350 portable pellet grill. Carry it around with one of those canvas firewood totes.

Have had the basic Coleman stove for years Upgraded to Webber Traveler last year, helped that I was working at an ACE during Covid Its handy that it doesn't need a table and locks when collapsed
