Biscuits/Gravy...

Those Wal-Mart pans you use as baffles are lookin' pretty well "seasoned." Nice work!

Nice work PXL! Nothing better on a cold drippy day than fresh baked anything! I do have a question for clarification. On page 1 of this thread you show the pans and the perforated pan is on top. In this pic and a few others the solid side is up. Do you flip it for different types of baking? Does it make any difference which side is up? Thanks! Still looking for a Q on sale, probably will bite the bullet and just get one since I didn't see any sales all winter around here. Should be the pan with the holes up - It's just me not paying attention. The bottoms of the biscuits were just a little browner than they should be.
The cheap Walmart pans have pretty much hand their surface burnt off and then they rust. Plus, they end up out in the rain. A better quality sheet might not do that. -
PXL, Liz looked at the biscuits and gravy and said she'll be right over, so don't eat 'em all!

Yeah, but cheap pans are easy to replace once or twice a season. Thanks for the clarification. The thought of having fresh baked scones in the morning, cornbread anytime or biscuits at night sounds really good to me!2017 T@B 320 Max S silver and cherry red, L@dybug ("Bug" aka my esc@pe pod), TV 2015 Toyota Highlander aka Big Red

Ya kinda have to play around - There was something I tried where the first time it had a burnt bottom even with the two pans. The next time I elevated the pan off the second sheet with some aluminum foil balls and it was fine.
I've also found that aluminum cake pans work better than the others, even the non-stick. Found a couple of those at Target (NordicWare). -
Cornbread's up tomorrow to go with some ribs.

Wow! The picture on the box and your cookies look the same! Mine never turn out that way. So impressed. Coffee and a morning cookie sounds great!!2017 820R Retro Toy Hauler from 2015 Tabitha T@B from 2009 Reverse LG Teardrop (but a T@Bluver at heart)

Ratkity - Rarely does that happen.
Joe - Great little grills -
And, as the universe does things.....I found a slightly scuffed (and I mean really slightly) 1200Q for $182 (CAD). That's just over $135. SO tempted.Red and White, 2017 Max S being towed by a 2014 Honda Ridgeline. Hello Mountains!

LauraRey- That is a steal. We watched prices last year and they never budged below $199.Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio

LauraRey I'd grab it. I've also been waiting for a sale and the price hasn't budged. If it's red I'll buy it from you ! :-)2017 T@B 320 Max S silver and cherry red, L@dybug ("Bug" aka my esc@pe pod), TV 2015 Toyota Highlander aka Big Red

LauraRey... Can't recall so I just went out to look at the label on the back and it's all in spanish - never noticed that before :-)
It's the big one with the temp gauge in the lid. Cost somewhere between $200-250. -
So, I went ahead and bought it. It is the model one size smaller than yours PXLated. However, for just me and my daughter, it should be fine. The auction place dropped the price to $127 US, so I just couldn't resist.
Now, to find cookie sheets for it....and I think we'll bake an Easter cake on our first camping trip.

I was walking into Target in Fountain Hills, Az. last December and they had the 1000 in a close out stack for $89.00. Wanted a red one, but for that price black will do just fine. Oh yeah, marked down because it was out of season. Phoenix area out of barbeque season?????2016 T@B MaxS, 2018 Jeep Rubicon 4dr, Rural Scottsdale, Az.

LauraRey - Finding cookie sheets could be a problem - The ones I use are called "quarter sized". Think that's the smallest they make and they just fit in mine with an inch around for the heat to rise.

I accept care packages. Did you need my address?
