This was out on BLM land in the Sonoran Desert north of Why, AZ. We love this spot next to Pig Rock in the Darby Well area.

I finally have my Tab in a place (my own driveway) where I can decide on a moment's notice to get out on the road. The Lyrid meteor shower was last weekend, and on Friday afternoon I decided to drive out to the desert and watch the show. I found the free dry campground at Chiriaco Summit, only 150 miles from me on the 10. I drove out there on Saturday afternoon, explored the Patton Museum, and just kicked back and waited for night to fall. Obviously, not a luxurious campground, but the gas station in the background has a Foster's Freeze and the family that runs the place has a little cafe. The interstate is 1000 feet away, and you could hear the truckers, but it wasn't too bad.I also explored the BLM Dispersed Camping Area on the south entrance to Joshua Tree NP. It is 4 miles west of Chiriaco on Cottonwood Springs Road. There are plenty of spaces, and could be a good boondocking option if you find the NP campgrounds full. (PS: summer not included in "good boondocking option" due to heat!)The Patton Museum highlighted the Desert Training Center that Patton established before moving on to greater things. Checked out the tanks, saw a great sunset, (sunsets are better in the Tab) and the camera caught one really good Lyrid meteor. My trailer has freed me to do these things: I did not have the skills last year to find a good spot, hitch up the trailer without a thought, go and do and get back without a hitch. Thanks to everyone on this forum!

"Adventure" #2 for three nights in the books for the Li'l L@b T@b, two Labs and myself. This was in Central Oregon at a Thousand Trails. Water and electric hook up. It's still early in the season here, so I had empty space near me. Warm days and cool nights were wonderful. The sun warming the pine trees smells so good.

Debbie, do I see a Fold n Go Coleman grill? If so, how do you like it?

@SAM good eye! It looked even cuter on the table after I put down my red check tablecloth!
I bought it at the recommendation of @Verna. This was the first time using it and I cooked hot dogs!
Worked just fine. The lid is high enough to close while cooking (large chicken breasts might be an issue though). I saw some reviews about difficulty cleaning it so bought a grill mat and cut to size and that was easy to wipe off. Very light weight. Debbie in Oregon

Good to know. We decided that the Weber Q was good to use at home and we needed a new camp grill. DH picked out the Fold n Go. Ordering it as I type! Getting the carrying case, too. The grill mat sounds like a good idea.Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio

4-22-18 in Staunton River State Park, VA, one of the original six state parks developed in the 1930's by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Near the NC border at headwaters of the Kerr Lake Now we have 37 state parks.

It was just a one-nighter, so not much setup.
A short hike from the campground, the Staunton River (aka Roanoke River farther north & south) just before it joins the Dan River.-Brian in Chester, Virginia

5-2-2018 at Shenandoah River State Park, VA. Our campsite was just a stone's throw from the South Fork of the Shenandoah River, close to the Bluebell Trail along the river.

Luckily, we had at least one tree that allowed us to try out the new hammock.
Virginia Bluebells.
Morning coffee view. Glad we brought two tents because both days were in the upper 80's, with little to no shade.
Scenic overlook deck. Our site was next to the river behind trees at lower left.
What photographers call the "blue hour", after sunset. Since the park was only 45 mins from where my sister-in-law lives, she joined us for dinner.
Tried out the new Weber Q-1000 grill - worked great.
On the Bluebell Trail. We missed the peak bloom but still saw some pretty ones, though most had already faded. A few weeks sooner might have been best.-Brian in Chester, Virginia

Anchor Down RV Resort, Dandridge, TN, Site 81, Off of I-40
This was an overnight stop on my way to a T@B gathering. It was a back in site, but it was so late at night when I arrived that I just pulled in, and ran the electric cord under the trailer, then backed out the next morning.

One of the bathhouse facilities. These were individual restrooms, with fully tiled showers, toilet, sink, benches, and plenty of hooks. Beautiful facility, but I forgot to take a picture inside

Came included with my T@B here in Colorado. Cheap Chinese, but seems to work pretty well. Mounted to the wall with Velcro near Alde control panel.

And, not hard to get to, any Tab could make it. The road in is gravel/rock and pretty well maintained. There were some bigger rigs out there. About 10-12 spots overlooking the rim, and I'm sure there are others down some of the branch roads off FR 611.
