Yes, @SweetlyHome, it was #94, Site Specific Loop B, so you can reserve it in advance. We enjoyed it for all the trees & shade, and relatively private. Surprisingly, we had few to no bugs, but the symphony of frogs after dark may explain that. We went just because we wanted a day at the beach, and had a good seafood meal at Bubba's, not far away. Also enjoyed the nitetime temp around 70° in July, so no A/C, just turned down the exhaust fan to a quiet low level with our new fan speed controller.
PS: There's a military installation next door, so you may hear occasional exercises with gunfire, and at 8am after revelie, they play the Marine Corp song, National Anthem, etc, but it was quiet at night. As a military retiree, I felt right at home. 😉

Our second trip to Brown County State Park with the T@B. Sunny and hot, over 90 degrees today, so glad to have the shade set up. Also, we had our vehicle searched, as we are sharing the park with the Vice President. We hear he is here for a wedding.

I didn't have enough leave for a week at NuCamp :(, but was wanting to camp somewhere in July and found a Tearjerkers gathering in Indiana. It was just for the weekend. Only took Friday off, stopped on the way North after work on Thursday, then got to Indiana on Friday, then pushed all the way back home yesterday. Fortunately, even if I get home late on Sunday from a weekend gathering, just have to put the camper in the garage, plug her in and go to bed.SAM said:Carol, we missed you at uCamp! In the shadows of Mt. Katahdin and Baxter State Park in Maine is Abol Bridge Campground. It's a beautifully situated campground along the West Branch of the Penobscot River. The shower facilities were sketchy, but the location and the view couldn't be beat.
We rented this little T@B U and drove up from the DC area. It was a long 2-day trip. We lost the keys to the camper and after almost two hours of searching the car and then searching it again and again, we had to break in. It was a bit too easy to get in, but after breaking the lock off, it was probably more secure because it took some skill with a screwdriver to unlock it.
Getting to Abol Bridge requires about seven or eight miles over the really rough Golden Road. I would have liked the Outback with a little bit of suspension. That poor little camper rattled like crazy.
It was early October when the Appalachian Trail through-hikers were coming through, so there were lots of young wookies to talk to (surprising number of young women too). They stopped at Abol Bridge for their last shower and beer before their last 1 night trek to the top of Mt. Katahdin.

We've spent 26 nights out in under a year! Most recently:
2-nights in the Snowy Range, WY in June
June Campsite 1: Medicine Bow National Forest, Ryan Park Campground - dry camping
We saw a moose here! Quiet this time if year. Campground largely clear cut from beetlekill.
June Campsite 2: Medicine Bow National Forest, Dispersed - dry camping
2-nights in the Collegiate Peaks - San Isabel National Forest, CO in July
July Campsite both nights: Dispersed - dry camping. Love our Pahaque XL !
July Camping Highlight: Hike to 12,035' lake.

Both of these pictures are of the same campsite. One is looking west (towards the ocean), the other looking east (towards the mountain). These were taken at Corney Brook campsite in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia in June. It was a wonderful site. It is dry camping. There are toilets available. Self check-in. A great hike is right across the road.

I did a bachelor weekend close to home while the wife was in Las Vegas. White River Campground in Hamilton County, north of Indianapolis. Everything from full hook up to primitive, concrete pads, etc. The campground is along the White River, which has good paddling and smallmouth fishing. Walk across the bridge to a County Park with zip lines, ropes course, hiking trails. Nice Park if you are in the area.
