FYI: at least on my 320 BD, that 19” is at the top of the BALL. I would confirm with your dealer where they are taking that measurement. If you look at this image: B, the lowest edge of the tongue, has historically been 16” on the 320 Boondock when level, and I’ve not seen that this is changed on the 2021. The top of the…
I just installed our V4.0 today - our very first mod if you don't count the Prodigy RF brake controller. Took me longer than the advertised 10 minutes due to an uncooperative screw on the old striker plate plus the need to borrow a #2 square head screwdriver from our neighbor. I purchased this from RVLock during their…
After several years of weekend trips around N.E. we finally took a more substantial road trip this spring. The trip was beyond awesome. I thought I'd share what we used for equipment. 2016 T@b cs-s max. TV 2014 Subaru outback, 4 cyl., CVT. Tekonsha 90250 prodigy rf brake controller. Group 29 battery. Maintained trailer…
Hello All, I have a 2014 LG T@B Max "Q" and my TV is a 2013 Volvo XC60. When I purchased my Volvo, I had a very difficult time finding someone who could install my EBC. Volvo wouldn't do it (I suppose because it was an after-market item) and other places weren't familiar with how to install it on a Volvo. Anyway, long…
Whatever brand of controller you have might have a dash install kit, it’s worth looking into that. Or alternatively, using velcro or similar to attach it somewhere more accessible? A number of us have gone with a wireless brake controller instead. The Curt version of these uses your phone & an app instead of a manual dash…
Crossposted in several Facebook groups. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with it, we are not camping as much as we would like and thus would like to rehome this beauty! Well, unless you have an older Tab with surge brakes, towing without a controller means towing without brakes. Legally, brakes may or may not be required. State law determines that, usually by trailer weight. Problem is, are you going to look up every state to see if it’s legal before you travel there? As far as your…
@OdoDave Nothing additional/special for weight distribution. Both tongue weight and towing weight capacity specs (660/6600) for the 4x4 2018 are well above what is required to tow the 400, even for the 2019 which has a notoriously heavy tongue weight. Tows just fine. As for brake control, we splurged and bought the…
We just this week took delivery or our T@B 320 BD, a stock unit with no options at this point except for a Prodigy RF Brake Controller. So we have the standard factory solar system and 80 Ah flooded-cell battery. Given our plans for the T@B, it's likely that the battery storage will be insufficient, but we want to…
JeffGeb, I believe you need to have the charge line come off directly from the battery. A good utility trailer shop can install your charge line. I highly recommend having them use a minimum of 10 gauge for both the charge line and the ground for the TV 7-pin. This will limit voltage drop and improve your charging ability.…
