@dsfdogs It’s such a cheap and easy thing for them to install during construction it’s a shame they discontinued it. But $100 is pretty cheap and it’s a pretty simple install overall.

I’m sure there’s an audience for it, but interestingly I was watching a video recently from a couple with two littles who did a long trip in a 24’ class C, and one of the things they emphasized was how critical it was to have a permanent bed for the kids, for everyone’s sake. Yeah, not sold on that bunk. It’s not really a 4-person trailer (even two kids) so adding the bunk feels forced. And I can’t imagine how little headroom they have.
Have to agree with you that I don’t see the 400 as a good 4 person trailer. But again, having the option is great. Making everyone else carry around extra stuff that never gets used? Less so.

Try some dry lube on, and in, the door latch mechanism.
We've had trouble once or twice when the Tab wasn't well leveled, but a change in the levelers seemed to correct it.
If you want to change the lock to a combination-lock the RV-Lock is excellent.

You might just need to adjust the striker plate to help the door opening/locking.

Rarely in right place at right time. Was able to snag one of these at REI at 25% off (Labor Day Sale). Even if your (@Bergger) post-trip report is a thumbs down, this will be a good resting place for house guests. Again, thanks for posting!

There's probably more splashage at the urinal in a public restroom than at a dump station.

0* sleeping bag is really comfy at 19*F, and it’s very much a “leave no trace” warming apparatus.
Re: Right break light
If your 7 pin connector gets water in it it can cause this to happen (happened to me). I just spun the connector around and let centrifugal force remove the water. Blew on it also. Afterwards the light went out. I was more careful about keeping water out of the connector after that...no repeat of the issue.

I use the disposable (one-time use) clear plastic gloves, drop the gloves in the waste bin (most dumps have them) then use hand sanitizer when I get in the tow vehicle. That’s it. Dumping was something we were concerned me about when we started this nearly five years ago. As it turned out, it’s one of the biggest non-events of our camping experience, and we’re frequent flyers. We rarely spill a drop and there is water around to wash it away if we do. Still, as Dutch061 said above, you need to do what makes you comfortable.
