Re: Flashing alde panel
I took my pictures and videos to the dealer today. The Alde flashing and the carbon dioxide alarm beeping pattern told them I had a low battery. It's a lead acid Pro Guide Dual Purpose battery. The dealer techs had just decided the Dual Purpose batteries aren't very good at holding a charge and also had concerns about their longevity. So, they had just decided to replace all of those batteries with Pro Guild Deep Cycle batteries.
I'm about to go in for bypass surgery, so won't be able to do anything about it until after several weeks, but they've got me on the calendar for a replacement.
I forgot to mention that prior to turning off the Battery Disconnect, I discovered that I hadn't turned the dial all the way on the fridge, so it was still running at its lowest setting rather than being off.
Once my recovery has gotten far enough along, I'm also going to see if the storage place will let me swap to a south facing spot.
Thanks to everyone for their help and suggestions. I'm looking forward to getting back out there in the Spring!

I decided to fill the gaps on my Demco coupler with a couple of 2" x 6" rectangles of 1/2" thick steel. I drilled two holes that align with the two rear holes in the coupler and tapped them for securing with 1/2-13 x 3/4" bolts. I painted the spacers black and the bolts are secured with blue threadlock compound. There's roughly a 1/16" gap behind the plate, so potential shear movement is limited. I considered bolting through the sides of the frame, but the rear bolt hole would intersect with the rear vertical bolt. The A-frame terminates before the front side hole, so I didn't make the spacer for full coupler's side length.

The Joolca got here yesterday (12/13/23). Very happy with the quality of the build. Our T@B is in a heated attached garage, but it's a one car, so not a lot of room to work on the outside of the trailer. Very anxious to see how this works out.

I just took a closer look at mine and it appears to be a bit tapered, snugger at the top. Not perfect, but maybe enough to lessen the likeliness of catastrophic failure. I realize that I'm beating a dead horse. We all have our own comfort levels with this type of thing. I'm just expressing mine.bjn2 said:

Protecting Windows While Trailer is Covered
Just wanted to give anybody interested a heads up. There has been concern about covers scratching windows. Some have gone as far as to cover the windows with a special film used on new cars during transport before covering their campers.
This past fall I simply applied Saran Wrap over the windows before covering. Just pulled the cover off today and the Saran Wrap was intact and the windows were totally protected. Cheap and easy if you’re the cautious type.

Re: Changing out the Alde fluid.
@manyman297 I'm not sure if they're all the same but mine has two tubes. One is a overflow tube and is a little lower on the tank. The tube in the picture posted above by @ReenieG would be where my the vent tube is located, not the overflow that runs out the bottom of the trailer.
edit to add that I routed the vent tube to a cup just in case any glycol made its way out.

I have a 2017 320S and experienced snow on my first long trip, March ‘22, in northern Nevada. I was winterized ( because I live in snow country) and my Alde wasn’t working (chased the necessary part from Eastern Washington to Las Vegas) but always carry a small space heater/fan. I planned my route to always have power and was fine. Anyway, I put no liquids down the sink, just a bit more antifreeze if needed, and used the toilet, flushing with antifreeze. Once I made it to Arizona I was able to empty my black tank and use water hookups again. Planning and flexibility is everything, and you can do it! Enjoy your journey!

I also want to be able to do some short trip winter camping after I've winterized. I'm a total noob to RV camping and won't be picking up my 2023 320 Boondock until next week. But I've been searching the forum (great forum) and reading a downloaded manual.
I've seen posts that indicate I can use the Alde heater after winterizing as log as I don't reintroduce water into the system anywhere. However, the T@B Owners Manual states in the first time use section of the Alde heater, "Confirm there is no RV antifreeze in the Alde® Domestic Water Tank".
Since the winterizing instructions, as I understand them, will put antifreeze throughout the water lines, this sounds like I won't be able to use the heater after winterization.
Am I missing something and I will be able to use the heater?
If not, I guess I'm still better off than tent camping :-)
