Re: Overheat Red Fail error message from Alde
NuCamp likes to make things very difficult with some of their videos. What the Alde needs to reset the panel is to just "reset the 12V" for the trailer.
The easiest way to do this is to: unplug the trailer, if you are on shore power. Turn off the battery switch. Wait a few minutes. Turn the switch back on. Test the control panel. The error message will clear in over 90 percent of cases.
The Alde throws errors like a little league team!
If the error persists, then yes, it is time to look for the "air in the glycol" problem.
Here is a thread that goes through the "reset" procedure, both with the "take the trailer apart to get to the Alde wiring" method, and the "just turn off the battery switch for a few minutes" method.

Thanks so much for your reply. We did contact them again about the box and they just referred us to a dealer. We are considering bypassing the box, but have not made up our minds on that yet.

@AnOldUR On the 400s they have a valve with a 1/2 threads on the water lines coming to the sink. Only the 1/2 to 3/8 adapter is necessary to make it work.

Brass 1/2" barb x 1/2" MIP
Brass Adapter 3/8" Compression x 1/2" FIP

I also found the level monitor too vague and did not trust that it was accurate. So I had a new system installed that measure with a strip on the tank to give a percentage value. It gives me a peace of mind to know a little better the fullness of the tanks.

Kodachrome SP 2023 First time camping there. Stayed 4 days. One day had scattered showers. Hiked all the trails when dry. Wifi at the Ranger station only.
