At Lake Anna State Park, Spotsylvania County, VA. We just added our 6th state park sticker to our T@B since our first stay in the new T@B last fall. The last three parks have been free, courtesy of a gift certificate from a first prize in a state parks photo contest that required hiking in a state park on New Years Day & submitting a photo from that hike by 5pm.
Lake Anna State Park has a nice beach included, not right at the campground, but a relatively short hike on a trail through the woods. We saw a beautiful bald eagle soaring above, and a young fawn visited our camp site.
We've been enjoying using a bunch of recently added mods to our T@B, including four in this photo. Can you find them? Inside, the upper wire shelf is a big hit with both of us, and the lower one made it convenient for tossing the bed roll back there. New kitchen sink swivel faucet & drain for more storage were a hit as well, not to mention the new sewer hose storage tube. I did discover a very slow leak in the hot water line connection though, since it only had a short initial test, not overnight. Easy fix though with a pair of wrenches.
UPDATE (6/8/18):
T@B LOVE..
After leaving Lake Anna State Park (on far shore behind the T@B), we stopped on the south shore for a delicious brisket sandwich at Billiken's BBQ, and we found this convenient and appropriate parking spot for the T@B at a nearby marina.
Upon getting back home, we found our Pahaque Visor XL that we ordered a few weeks ago waiting for us on the front porch. We're really pleased with all the nice shade it provides & how easy it is to put up & take down. Nice to finally be able to make use of those built-in Keder rails, and we can't wait to use this on our next trip. Clever design how the support rod disassembles into a foldable piece that all fits easily into the provided bag that we now have stored on the new wire shelf mod behind the seat back.

@GATabber, I like your inside curtains. Can you tell if it makes a difference in keeping yout Tab cooler?Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio

@SAM I'm not really sure about the curtains and keeping it cooler....we were in a very shaded spot and at an elevation that was already very cool. My main reason for adding them was so we could still get some air flow through the screens, and have a bit of privacy as well -- and they definitely worked well for that purpose.2017 T@B 320 S

@GATabber, I love the stool cushion for the porthole window in the door. I am going to be on the lookout for one of those. The place looks mighty comfy!

My last campsite featured a resident dinosaur. Fortunately, it appeared to be one of those big goofy plant-eating types, so I've lived to tell about it...(Check out this and other cool rock features at North-South Lake SP in NY's Catskills!)

I realized I’ve not posted up a shot of my setup in Southern Arizona in the winter. As you can see, it is desert, as in very little vegetation. I used a 6x6 Clam Traveler screenroom with 4 windwalls for my “woodworking workshop” and “garage” for my bicycle. A very simple setup from late December 2017 to late March 2018. I actually moved my table with the simple butane stove into the screen room for cooking when needed due to the winter winds playing havoc with the flame. A shaggy Sunny Day is watching me from beyond the step stool/foot stool. No electricity, but plenty of sun for solar panels, 100’ of water hoses to reach my T@B, and a Blue Boy hdden under the rear of the T@B used to take the waste from
my black tank to the RV sewer dump.
Fools Hollow State Park in Show Low, AZ, a place I have wanted to visit for some time. It was a lot cooler than Southern AZ, but it was nice to see green on the trees again. Yes, I actually had an electric hookup for the first time since mid-January, plus a sewer hookup—royal treatment!
And then, at Winslow, AZ, me “Standin’ on the corner in Winslow, Arizona” with my trusty Sunny Day.
And then, one of the more worrisome nights of camping in Amarillo, TX at the Lake Meredith National Recreation Area outside of Amarillo, TX. I went to bed facing into gusts of 30 mph winds, woke up at 3:30 am with gusts of 60 mph hitting me broadside! Rock and Roll! With sustained winds of 30 to 40 mph, gusts up to 60 mph forecasted for two days, I decided to leave my free campsite and take refuge in a KOA for two days and nights. It was worth it for the security of not looking down 100’ cliffs at deep water! I caught up on NCIS episodes, and I actually took a nap or two during the day, warm and cozy, sheltered from the winds by the KOA office building. Did I forget to mention the grassfires blazing through the grasslands south of Amarillo? Safety was my first concern.
I forgot one one of my favorite BLM Campgrounds in New Mexico — Valley of Fire, where the lava from fissures in the ground covered the ground, and a Federal BLM Campground was made on a slope next to the lava field. A gorgeous sunset, and a photo of my campsite from the mile long paved pathway through part of the lava field.
