Pour antifreeze in the hose then blow it into the pump and repeat a few times. This has always worked for me the few times the pump did not want to prime.

Elevate the container of antifreeze above the level of the city water connection. That will make gravity your friend and should help. Also, temporarily replace the screened washer in the city water inlet with an unscreened washer. That will improve the flow of liquid and make siphoning easier.
Help! Antifreeze not being pumped in
We are trying to winterize our 2022 Tab 320S Boondock today. We're following the YouTube video that NuCamp put out recently. We blew the water out of the lines with our new air compressor. Put the Nautilus levers in the Winterize position, put the red Alde lever in the bypass position, hooked up a short hose to the Winterize port, put the other end of the hose in a gallon of antifreeze, turned the pump on (the switch inside the Nautilus) and... nothing. We can hear the pump, but nothing is getting pulled in. We tried filling the short hose with AF to help it get going, but still the AF wasn't being pulled in to the fresh tank from the AF jug. Appreciate any thoughts on what we should be doing. It's already cold here in MN. We snuck in one more camping trip while the weather was nice, but upon getting home we were hit with cold. Forecast is down to 32 degrees overnight.

2023 400 BD. Drawer space modified for cat litter box space. If the cat's not happy, nobody's happy!!

I went with the 20A to keep my budget total cost for the Lithium upgrade including the the two 100AH batteries under $1,200. When I plug in I have plenty of time for the batteries to charge at 20A and if I ever have to use the charger to supply DC to the whole camper (doubtful), 20A will be plenty to run everything 12 volt I use. If I ever find I need more (which I doubt) I can just add a second smart charger and they will both operate together. I have solar and my tow vehicle charging the batteries and have seldom used the charger. When I do it's just for topping off, typically when in the garage when I return from a trip or just before I leave on one.AnOldUR said:About to take this project on. On the major side of modifications, installing 400ah of LiFePo4 batteries, 3000w Victron Multiplus, SmartShunt, MPPT Solar Charger with external plugin would be number 1 for us. We no longer need to lug a generator along with us on our trips.
The small modifications we have made, while small compared to the battery mod, nonetheless make our Tab more convenient for us.
I swapped out the kitchen faucet for a taller, fold-down model that makes all the difference for washing dishes.
I added a dimmer switch for the lights under the cabinet in the kitchen area.
I installed a couple of fast-charging USB-C outlets.
Installed a toggle switch to cut all power to the radio (And not have to pull the fuse)
Installed a hinged door behind the dinette cushion, providing storage and support for the back cushion.
Maxx Air fan.

I have the30A version. I am far from an expert, but I do follow a few RV electrical forums. From what I've read from others, there is no reason not to go to the higher amp if your wiring matches the charger amp rating. No cons, but the advantage of getting a faster charge of your batteries. I have read there is a maximum , but its way up there (I forgot the formula). I believe the new TAB 320s with the lithium package come with the Victron 2000W Inverter/charger that has the 80 amp charger version( from a grainy picture).

Re: Propane powered generator
We have a "solar generator." But we didn't buy it for camping. We have it because the power at the house is intermittent during storms. I have solar panels to keep it charged. It could be used to charge the trailer, but there is some loss. There are a lot less expensive and more efficient methods of charging the trailer's battery.
Be careful connecting to a cigarette lighter 12v plug. They have a fuse. As stated above, have the battery disconnected and hope your trailer's load doesn't exceed the fuse value. If I wanted to power the trailer from the solar generator, I would use and extension cord and plug the solar generator's 110 AC to the trailer and allow the power converter do what it should. There will be loss, but it works safely.
Using a spare battery (or solar generator) to directly charge the trailer battery, may not be the best idea. Batteries have a recharge schedule. Different kinds of batteries have different requirements. Not using a regulated charge system may not be smart in the long run, particularly if the trailer is not lithium when the solar generator is.

If your TAB (or probably any RV) catches fire it will be fully involved by the time the fire department can get there--even if it is parked next to the fire department! They will NOT attempt to ensure the propane tank is turned off. They will simply protect the adjacent exposures and let the propane tank vent as it heats. They will probably have no idea where the propane tank is even located but if they do know they may flood the tank with water in an attempt to keep it cool enough to not vent. But maybe not.
I retrofitted keyed-alike tubular locks (like those used on vending machines) on my 2019 TAB 400 tub and hatches. I travel with the propane OFF and the hatches and tub locked. I lock the tub and hatches whenever I am away from the TAB but I don't leave any propane running when I am away either.

Same here. The very small amount of water remaining after blowing out may freeze, but will not damage anything.
Side note: if you open all the faucets before opening the low point drain, most of the water pulls itself through. There will be very little water remaining to blow out up hill.
