What an awesome setup. I just came across those same batteries while doing my research into the upgrade so I’m glad to see someone with experience. I have a 2023 tab and am most likely going to move forward in the coming weeks. I have a couple questions.B0atguy said:Wow, its been a year already since the last post here .
There are some new Lifepo4 / Lithium batteries on the market now and prices have dropped considerably on them as well over the past year . All that kind of gave me the push to upgrade to more than 400ah Lifepo4 Renogy batteries I have now . They have performed great , just want some more AH !
They are now making some Lifepo4 300ah "mini" batteries that are extremely compact in relation to the AH they are producing . After a bit of research , finally bit the bullet on 3 - 300 AH "mini" battery for our 400 . 3 of them are about a perfect fit in the 400 battery bay, with all that is needed is to remove the center wood divider . Still keeps our under bed drawer intact as well . I did have to "hack" off one side of the battery handles to get them to fit, but all in all it worked out pretty good . Out of the many brands of these (all Chinese , and all the same basically ) , I went with the Dumfume brand . Will Prowse (and others) have given pretty good reviews and tear downs , so I went all in . Now I am up to 900AH , and all 3 fit perfectly in the stock (2024) 400 battery bay . Cant beat the price . They are approx $1 . per AH (as of 8/2025). So , right around $900. for 900 AH . So far so good . Charged up great , and are working perfect so far . Also using a Renogy 300 bluetooth shunt to go with our Renogy One Core monitor panel . Works great for keeping tabs on battery usage !
Here are a few pictures of the install .

It's still working well for me. No leaking.pthomas745 said:Back in December, @jimcenname installed this "bottle trap" in his trailer. Looks like a simpler install to me, someone with very limited plumbing experience.Looks like this:
