Re: Difference in stargazer window shades?
I though 2018 was the first year 400 as well , but it does look like 2017 was ! Here is a NuCamp brochure / link from 2017 highlighting the new T@B 400 introduction . https://nucamprv.com/app/uploads/2017/05/Tab-Teardrop-Camper-Brochure.pdf
@lkc001 , I have a 2024 T@B 400 and will measure the rear stargazer shade/bugscreen unit for you tomorrow. At least you will have the current window dimensions for ordering a new one . Slightly curious how much that will cost .

Re: Shims for window latches?
You put flat washers under the plate to raise it when screwed down.

Re: Scott Hubble stepping down as NuCamp CEO at the end of August.
From their press release:
Jesse Mullet, President of nuCamp RV, will be stepping into the role of CEO. Jesse is the son of Joe Mullet, the Founder of nuCamp RV, and has worked side-by-side with Scott and his father on nuCamp’s cultural foundations, products, and growth. Jesse is also an avid cyclist having rode his bicycle across the country to raise money for a local adoption support agency.

Re: Lithium Upgrade…One Big Battery or Two Smaller Batteries?
Make sure they are both charged to 100% before they are connected together. You don't want them to try to balance at uneven levels of charge. They can dump a lot of amps into one another.
Re: Shims for window latches?
I had this same issue and had raise the latch with some shims I made up using some 1/4 inch scrap marine plywood then painted flat black It did the trick .
Re: No dc on shore power and battery is not charging (solar disconnected)
Yes scott. I agree. I still haven’t gotten back over to the camper, but I’m looking forward to testing all these theories. I will definitely keep y’all posted.
Mattress topper for my tab 400
I see a lot of people recommending mattress topper from Mattress insider but has anyone ordered one for their tab 400 ? Since the tab 400 has a cornered one side will they be able to custom cut it too
Re-Sealing round TAB Windows
The caulk around the round windows on our 2018 TAB 400 was very brittle and some of it was missing. There's a product that I've used on several sailboat projects that looks to be similar to what was on the windows from the factory. The product I've used is Dow Dowsil 795. It is a commercial grade glazing glue/sealer that has worked well for me on sailboats and remains soft and flexible for years. You can get it in several colors including black. I removed all of the brittle old sealant from our windows and reapplied the 795. Its a perfect match. Just tape off the window and camper, apply the sealant, smooth it with a finger, and then peal away the painters tape. You must have some mineral spirits ready for any cleanup including the finger you used to smooth it out.
