New owner - 2020 T@b 400 BDL w/solar (weights & pics!)
So I had been planning on reserving my ‘formal’ introduction until taking delivery of our new T@b, but I just received the first pictures of our trailer coming off the line, and honestly can’t wait! My wife and I have been joking about ‘getting old and buying an RV’ for nearly 25 years, and it is our 25th anniversary gift to each other. I guess we have arrived!
We put in our order for a 2020 T@b 400 Boondock Lite w/solar, and we are now about a week from delivery (incredibly, only 1 to 3 days prior to our anniversary date!). It will have all of the late 2019 and 2020 changes, including:
- New (presumably faster-draining) bath sink, square (late-2019 change)
- New Avia-style 'wand' shower head, single temp-control handle (late-2019 change)
- Outlets near dinette moved below passenger-side cushion, WFCo moved to beneath passenger-side dinette seat
- Dometic CoolCat A/C moved rearward (for weight & balance reasons); exterior screen for A/C intake on front-left driver side is thus gone (and is now a bottom intake, haven’t seen a picture yet?)
- Kitchen sink no longer has p-trap, giving extra storage room (mid-2019 change)
- New vinyl flooring, almost with a 'macro' cross-hatched appearance
- ‘Booondock Edge’-style aluminum trays now installed on tongue
- ***Tongue weight significantly decreased, somewhere in the neighborhood of 35# (don’t have actual weights yet, will update).***
nuCamp now has a proper scale, so apparently all products manufactured will now have the yellow ‘actual’ weight stickers applied.
Anyway, thrilled to become part of the nuCamp family, and can’t wait to start the next leg of our journey!

UPDATE: Just talked to nuCamp, and received the following info for confirmation:
- A/C unit is now an 'Elwell Air-8' mounted beneath center-bed (no CoolCat). No heat pump, but has de-humidifier setting.
- Inverter moved to new WFCO location, under passenger-side dinette seat
- Countertop and table are no longer particle board, but the new foamcore material developed for the Cirrus
- Tire is returned to the mounting area behind tongue, underneath (was beneath bed for awhile)
- TONGUE WEIGHTS: 373 lbs dry, 386 lbs wet (for 400 BDL, 2-way fridge)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I looked at the Verizon site and the best prepaid plan for the JetPack was $45 for 8GB plus a bonus of 7GB (so 15 total). So maybe the unlimited plan is gone. The store personnel are not always up to date on current offers.

I am going to dig into it a bit as far as tethering being restricted. I was working remote this week in NV. I have multiple T-Mobile lines and was using my phone for a Hotspot. Noticed the phone worked pretty good even though signal was a bit marginal, tethering worked good at 1st, but then dropped to an unacceptable crawl, basically I couldn't work. I do sometimes need to move large files and I think for this billing cycle I am now around 16gb, it seems on tethering I have been cut back to 2g or slower, but on phone it still works ok. I tested about 20 miles away on different tower, same result. I don't think a booster is going to help in this case since it looks like I was throttled. I am back home in Oregon now so will investigate.

Actually, I like the simplicity of the horse shoes that @MuttonChops added to his stabilizers. That would be a simple addition in a light weight, paint-free, plastic. Maybe someone with a 3 D printer should create something for the Outback folks!
No need for someone to make something special. Just use a couple bolts like @MuttonChops did, a couple large flatwashers and locknuts, and pass said bolts through a stack of those "lego" blocks.
Come to think if it, I may do that myself since I always use a stack of those blocks even on flat level ground. Permanently attaching them to the stabilizer pads would free up precious storage space. Hmmmm.

Sorry, @Photomom, but I wrote that as soon as I found out. I was cursing myself too, but because I'm right-handed, it just never dawned on me to try my left until yesterday when I started wondering "how are people reaching this?" and gave it a try. I was surprised it made such a difference - not huge in distance, but huge in results.
PS: I had also gone back into the trailer to see where I might be able to cut a new access hatch for reaching that lower connection & needed to feel the inside of the wall for obstructions. In the process I ended up trying my left hand. The new hatch idea is on hold for now, since I learned how to reach that connection.

TIP:
To reach the city water port for hand tightening, especially for all the short statured right handers out there, do this:
1. Don't use your right arm!
2. Put your head down in the right corner behind the toilet.
3. Reach your LEFT ARM down into the left corner behind (forward of) the pump hose.
4. On the side wall you'll first feel the very small air vent tube & large fresh water tube. Reaching behind (forward of) & farther below those is the 1-inch size plastic collar of the city water port. Hand tighten.
I was able to reach far enough to firmly grasp it with thumb & two fingers to hand tighten a bit more. Previously, using my right arm with head in left corner, I could barely touch the top of it with my middle finger. I am 5'-8" tall.
