That is exactly what I do as well. I can't count the number of places I've stayed where the fresh water spigot is waaay to close to the sewer hookup.Sharon_is_SAM said:
One other thing owners should consider is to wipe down with bleach any campsite or community spigot that you hook up to or retrieve water from. You never know who has gone before you or what they hooked up to the spigot.

B} If my rig, would not run-off to purchase Lithium Batteries but would consider going to a
larger AHr AGM battery.
C} I'd also look at adding a portable solar panel to increase your solar input . .
D} Also, consider turning Fridge off after midnight and save a few cooling cycles and AHrs

We did the same, built 2nd garage in backyard of 1st house with 8 ft doors, then when we moved, 3 car garage with 8 ft door on 3rd bay.

Nope. Not taking any chance. It won’t take much to spoil your camping trip, no matter how much you sanitize it.

I thread the cable through a few links to remove excess length, then use a climber's snap link to secure it on the hitch. I believe it's similar or the same as @Baylisspic. It keeps the connections in a similar place for easy hoop up when departing. I find this discussion fascinating I figure this is one more situation I hope never happens to me.

Yes, it's filled with drinking water after all. I disinfect the water system in the spring before the first trip after it has been sitting empty for a couple of months (trailer is sitting inside over winter) but otherwise I'm not worried about contamination. At home I even use a regular garden hose to fill it (horror !), just flush it until there is cold fresh water coming out if it. Growing up drinking from springs or eating snow was just "hydrating"

Yes, and first it runs through the Camco filter from the spigot to the trailer. I fill the tank from a known source, like home.

Nice. Those with lighter tow vehicles need to keep in mind it adds over 100 lbs to the tongue close to the hitch point.

- screws not driven in correctly
- fan lock knob broke and fell off on day 3
- overly soft front seat cushions
- door porthole window cover fell off in heat as the 2 sided tape was poor
- exterior front handle cover flew off ...somewhere ..
We love the trailer but these issues are frustrating.
