Re: Placement of EMS
@CrabTab, I am uncertain of @CharlieRN's specific set-up in that area (i.e., the other side of the wall), but I considered installing it there. However, it is pretty crowded with other items (e.g., water and glycol lines.) However, the primary reason I did not install it there is because I wanted easy access to see the internal parts of the EMS if it ever needs to be serviced in the future.

@Geo, does the Zero Breeze require some sort of venting for a setup like this?
Edit: looks like the original had a single vent hose, and the Mark 2 has a dual vent hose setup. I bet those of us with pre-2020, non-Elwell Air8 Tab 320 units could make this work in the underbench storage, vented either through the side or the floor. Hmmm....I’d really like a part-time AC that could be easily removed during the shoulder seasons when it just isn’t ever needed in my neck of the woods, and being able to reclaim the wasted cabinet space of the Danby would be a plus.

Kitchen Pegboard
We're not normally Ikea shoppers, but our son asked us to pick something up. While there we spotted this slotted pegboard and thought it might work in our T@B on the wall next to the stove. Now we have to go back for more of the accessories.

Obviously you are much more up to date on NY state law than I and will take your caution in mind during our next visit. I have a vague positive memory of Nancy's Chili and look forward to sampling her mustard. Perhaps Heid's in Syracuse offers it?
My gastrointestinal track had an immediate negative reaction when reminded of a Garbage Plate. I'm sure this reaction is age related as my prime for such gastronomic specialties at 2:00am was 30-40 years ago.
As I've mentioned before a good Rochester style meat sauce on a ground round is a treat I do miss and have yet to experience as an export. Schaller's remains a personal favorite. This might be slanted by the memory of taking my better half there on dates 40 plus years ago.

Well, it’s been a month since bringing home our TaB. Thought a quick update was in order. It’s still sitting in the same spot in our driveway, but we’ve been busy with personalizing and functional mods. In a couple of weeks we’ll be taking it out to Miller’s. Since we purchased from an Airstream dealer, we wanted a better orientation. They also agreed to walk us through the dewinterizing process. The weekend following that we’ll be doing a one night stay at a Harvest Host winery as a shakedown cruise. Very exciting stuff. Can’t wait.

Re: V6 GMC Canyon, NOT diesel
I have a 2018 GMC Canyon gas engine and 2018 Tab 400. I agree with what vhollow stated. We have traveled through the Smoky Mtns , the Black Hills but not the Rockies — yet. The vehicle has the power to pull but will rev high on the uphill. I use a Curt sway bar which helped and provided confidence in windy situations. You know you’re towing but confident with the truck. I stay at max of 65 mph and average 13 mpg. As to the transmission shutter, we never had issues towing but we have felt it on the truck on occasion when the engine is cold — we had it checked by the dealer and all is ok. We like the truck and appreciate the great mpg.
Re: Changing out the Alde fluid.
I had purchased an accessory kit for my shop vac a while ago. It came with an adapter and a reduced size hose and nozzles to clean in tight spots. I think one of the nozzles would fit over the Alde reservoir hose.Horigan said:Agreed. It all depends on what you have on hand. Yep you are good to go without water in the system. But as Sharon said, make sure the dealer did not put antifreeze in the alde before you turn the system on. Just open the low point drains for the alde and see if anything comes out. The drains under the bed by the alde with yellow levers, not the ones in the nautilus box.

You can heat the cabin without water in the Alde tank, but please confirm that there is no antifreeze in the Alde tank before turning it on.
